UAE Launches Third Samsung Innovation Campus to Build AI Talent

In a bold move to empower the next generation of tech innovators, the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office—commonly known as the AI Office—has partnered with Samsung Gulf Electronics to launch the third edition of the Samsung Innovation Campus. This initiative, held as part of the UAE AI Camp 2025, aims to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) skills among young talents and fuel the nation’s digital future.

The Samsung Innovation Campus is a global program designed to boost digital literacy through practical learning in AI, machine learning (ML), data analysis, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Participants are guided by industry experts through hands-on projects, interactive workshops, and blended digital learning.

This year’s launch takes place at the UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp, the largest regional AI event featuring over 70 sessions—ranging from hackathons and workshops to lectures—covering diverse themes like AI in healthcare, education, finance, ethics, cybersecurity, virtual and augmented reality, robotics, and data science.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the AI Office, emphasized that the government continues to deepen its collaboration with global tech leaders to deliver world-class education. Embedding the Samsung Innovation Campus within the UAE AI Camp offers participants access to premier learning experiences and reinforces the country’s commitment to talent development in AI.

DooHee Lee, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “At Samsung, we believe that blending education and technology provides a powerful combination for progress. Bringing Samsung Innovation Campus to the UAE AI Camp allows us to do more than just teach; we are actively preparing the next generation of leaders to excel in an AI-powered future.”

What’s New in 2025?

  • Expanded Curriculum: Participants dive deep into AI fundamentals, from algorithms and programming to data science workflows using Python and ML libraries.

  • Broad Reach: The program attracts students from across the UAE and beyond, making it a truly multicultural learning platform.

  • Graduation Track Record:

    • In 2023, the program graduated over 90 students from 20 nationalities.

    • In 2024, more than 120 students successfully completed the program under the theme “Reimagine the Future.”

This upward trend reflects increasing interest and trust in the program, while highlighting the UAE’s success in positioning itself as a regional AI talent hub.

Why It Matters

The Samsung Innovation Campus supports the UAE’s National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, empowering youth with future-ready skills and aligning with the country’s vision to lead globally in AI.

For young learners, this means access to practical AI education, project-based pathways, expert mentorship, and opportunities to connect with peers and industry leaders. Beyond personal growth, this program contributes to national economic diversification and digital resilience.

Upcoming editions—especially through integration with UAE AI Camp—promise to amplify these gains, inspire innovators, and bring the UAE closer to realizing its ambitious vision for a tech-driven future.
