Sharjah to Host Largest Ever Investment Forum, 10,000+ Delegates Expected

Sharjah is preparing to welcome its biggest investment event in history. The Sharjah Investment Forum 2025 will be held on October 22 and 23 at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre. This year the forum will run alongside the 29th World Investment Conference, which will take place in Sharjah for the very first time.

Organised by Sharjah’s FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) in partnership with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies and the UAE Ministry of Investment, the event carries the theme Transforming Our World: Investing for a Resilient and Sustainable Future.

Key Details and Insights

The forum is expected to attract more than 10,000 delegates representing 142 countries. Attendees will include government leaders, senior business executives, investment promotion agencies, and development bodies.

Over 30 international organisations are scheduled to participate, providing a global stage for discussion, collaboration, and investment opportunities.

The agenda will focus on several pressing topics such as sustainable investment, green finance, food security, smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, tourism, free zones, human capital, and digital infrastructure.

One of the headline sessions will be titled Green is the New Gold: Competitive Advantage through Sustainable Investment. It will highlight how environmental, social, and governance standards are no longer optional but are now central to high impact investment strategies.

Another important session will examine how artificial intelligence and predictive technologies can guide investment decisions in emerging markets and help reduce risks for investors.

Why This Forum Matters

The event marks a bold step for Sharjah as it strengthens its position on the global investment map. By merging the Sharjah Investment Forum with the World Investment Conference, the emirate is demonstrating its commitment to being at the heart of international conversations on growth and sustainability.

At the heart of the discussions is a critical challenge. The world faces an estimated financing gap of more than four trillion US dollars every year in order to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. That shortfall makes it essential to find practical ways of channeling capital into areas such as climate resilience, renewable energy, food security, and inclusive economic growth.

Challenges and Opportunities

A major challenge lies in aligning global investment flows with the needs of sustainable development. Investors often face hurdles when implementing stricter environmental or social standards. In addition, countries need consistent policies and regulatory frameworks that can support long term sustainable growth.

On the other hand, Sharjah now has a unique opportunity. The forum provides a platform to showcase how regional hubs can lead in attracting impact driven investment. With participation from international organisations and leaders across sectors, the event could unlock new streams of capital in areas such as clean technology, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, and skills development.

Outlook

If successfully executed, Sharjah Investment Forum 2025 has the potential to set a new benchmark for international gatherings of this kind. Beyond the record numbers of delegates and countries represented, its real success will be measured by the outcomes it delivers. These may include fresh policy frameworks, new cross border partnerships, investment deals, and concrete strategies to narrow the financing gap for sustainable development.

Sharjah is aiming not only to host the largest event of its kind but also to influence the global investment agenda for years to come. The coming weeks are expected to reveal the names of high profile speakers, details of major deals, and commitments that could shape the future of sustainable investment worldwide.
